Would it be weird for a 21 year old guy to date a 17 year old girl?
There’s this cute, sweet girl that I work with that is single. I think she likes me, but I don’t know if it would be weird if I asked her out? What do you all think? I’m still a virgin and waiting to have until marriage so nothing like that would go on even though the legal age is 17.

Its not that unheard of, and I dont think theres anything wrong with it. Depends on the chick, of course, but it wouldnt be too weird.

I would be careful if I were you. Even if you don’t “do anything”, if the relationship turns ugly she can always *say* you did. I would wait till she’s 18 just to be safe.

goooo for itttt! i don’t think it’d be weird at all. she’s almost an adult, and it’s not like you’re some old creepy pervert or anything. i say go for it. and if you think it’d be creepy, i’m 15 and crushing on a 40 year old that likes me also, sooo i’m pretty sure your situation is cool. haha. goooood luck! and for the people saying to wait til she’s 18, you said 17 is legal where you are, so it’s fine. usually the laws are like .. the person has to be at maximum 4 years older. or something like that.

For any sexual interaction, if you’re 21, she would have to be 18, otherwise it’s illegal.

No it wouldn’t be weird, because really the age difference is not that big, unless you two do something sexual since she is under 18 it will be illegal, but she isn’t far away from being 18.

They way i put it, age is just a number, if you truly like this person and think u can make it last, it wont matter once you both are in your 20′s my mother is 40 and my dad is 43 going on 44 but that doesnt look bad on their part.

Well, 1st of all, its illegal. and second of all. i think u shud just wait till shes 18, its not that far away. and the rule USUALLY is: 3 yrs up and 3 yrs down.

i always tell my 16 year old sister when she wants to date university guys to ask herself what is wrong with this guy that he cant find girls his own age

It’s kinda inappropriate. Even though you wouldn’t be having sex, it just seems weird. I think you should find someone your own age. Teens tend to be immature.

The legal age is 18, No it wouldn’t be, not in this day in age. I am 22 years old I wouldn’t date a 17 teen year old, that would just be wrong to me. Guys are different. You do have to remember she is 17teen and you are 21. There is a age difference. Maybe you should be friends with her first, and go hang out before your thinking anything serious.

Follow your heart. Age is just a number how many years u been alive. (Sexual) i think you should wait till she is at an legal age but in the time being u both should get 2 know each other better build a friendship and take things from there!! Good luck
